Stockholm is built on fourteen islands, connected by bridges. It is internationally called “the Venice of Scandinavia” and as a Stockholm-city-boy growing up in the centre of it all, I agree. There are some spectacular vistas to bee seen. Some fifty yards from Grand Hotel is the bridge that connects the island “Skeppsholmen” with the city. On the island lies the little boutique hotel with the same name. It is truly a unique 1700’s historic building but with a stylish and modern feel.
